Accessibility Statement
Our commitment
Jumping Ahead Inc. wants everyone — including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings — to be able to learn about and download DeskCouncil. The deskcouncil.io website is designed and tested to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
What we do
- Structure: one main heading per page, a logical heading order, labelled landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), and a page language.
- Keyboard: every link and control is reachable with the Tab key, has a visible focus ring, and is never hidden behind the sticky header. A “Skip to content” link is the first item on each page.
- Contrast: body text meets at least 4.5:1, and large text, icons and focus indicators meet at least 3:1.
- Motion: the homepage background video is silent and decorative, has a Pause/Play button, and doesn't play at all when your device is set to reduce motion. No content flashes.
- Text alternatives: each illustration has a written description, and every illustration is also explained in the surrounding text.
- Reflow and zoom: pages work at 320 px wide and at 200% zoom without losing content. Wide tables scroll inside their own keyboard-focusable region.
- Links: links inside paragraphs are underlined, so they don't rely on colour alone.
How we test
Before each website release we run automated checks with axe-core against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A/AA rules at desktop and phone widths. We also check by hand: keyboard-only navigation, focus visibility, contrast of text inside illustrations, and reduced-motion behaviour.
Scope and known limitations
This statement covers the deskcouncil.io website (this page, the homepage, the Support page, the Privacy Policy, the Terms of Service, and the payment confirmation pages). It does not cover the DeskCouncil apps, the app stores, or third-party sites we link to, such as payment processors.
We are not aware of any WCAG 2.2 AA failures on the website. If you find one, please tell us.
